I had a great day today. After going to Fort Olgethorpe to pick up Larry's rental, we went to mom's to take the kids fishing at a cousin's pond with my dad. After hooking 2 that managed to get off, I finally caught one big mouth bass about 8 o'clock. My only one for the day but that's alright 'cause it weighted 8 1/2 pounds. Yep, that's right 8 1/2 pounds. I have pictures to prove it.
Check them out!

Whew, after reeling that puppy in and it this late, I am tired and I am going to sleep.

Clock speed
Intel: Clock speed is important because ours is highest.
AMD: Clock speed isn't important because ours isn't highest.
Apple: Our computers come in pretty colours.

Performance rating
Intel: PR ratings are misleading. We said so when Cyrix used them, we say so now AMD uses them. They were OK when we used them, though, because we called them ICOMP ratings.
AMD: PR ratings are a vital tool in helping customers choose our processors because they think they run faster than they really do make an informed choice.
Apple: This one's blue. Nice, isn't it.

Price
Intel: Our chips are cheapest.
AMD: Oh no they're not.
Intel: Oh yes they are.
AMD: Oh no they're… [OK, we get the idea - Ed]
Apple: Our computers are more expensive because they're prettier - especially this pink one. µ

Well, yesterday was a bitch.  Start to finish.  5 min. late for server class.  Larry got rear-ended by some little girl with no license and I forgot to take my checkbook with me when I went to get groceries... so I had to stand and get what cash I had on me together (twenty bucks) and then sort through the groceries I had and decide which I wanted most.  Cause I wasn't going back.  I had already been there, or almost there once that day.  I was on my way when Larry called and said he was in an accident.  Can't blame leaving the checkbook on the wreck tho.  I had left it at home the first trip to the store.
Did figure out how to do some interesting and fun things on the computer yeseterday in server class however.  We were admonished for it when Mr. Estes found out tho.  He threatened to take away our rights to everything, hahaha.  He already won't let us shut down.  Oh well, gonna go play some more before comp & rhetoric class.

I shoulda stood in bed!

Well, spent the weekend finishing up my homework for server class, rearranging my daughter's bedroom and cleaning it up. Next weekend I'll tackled Blade's. Also went to a family reunion today. It was alright as reunions go. It was only the closest family members but surprisingly, there were more who attended. None of the ones noone likes though. Maybe that's what made it a good one.
I really wanna go see M. Night Shyamalans's The Village. Watching the secrets special about him on SciFi was very interesting. I like his movies anyway.
I so don't wanna go to school tomorrow. Think I'll see what we're supposed to write for next and get a jump on it. I love to write but hate it at the same time. I start revising and sometimes I think I revise too much. Can't wait to see what grade we got on those narratives though.
Oh well, off to chat and relax (for at least a few minutes of my weekend) and check that next topic out and go to bed!

Well, impy was tired last night boys and girls, but I forgot to mention the highlight of my first day back at school. See, it went like this. Started out just fine. This Dell machine sitting there all innocent like in room 206. But when I sat down and grabbed the mouse to go to it, it didn't have a middle scroll button. I realized that wasn't an innocent look, it was a taunting look. OK, no problem, just a simple switcharoo with the unattended Dell down the way. But no! I move it and BAM! Loose all graphics. Thought it went kablooey. When you turned it on, you could hear it spinning up though. Pfft. I put a note on it that read "Out of Order, Please Fix Me".
As you can see from my explanation, it's death was in no way my fault. It provoked me first. I was only reacting to that provocation.
Now then. I can see this quarter is going to be ever so much better than last, even though I have to get up at 6 AM this quarter and stay till almost 3, it still beats last quarter by a long shot. At least I can look forward to learning something this quarter (other than math). Have I mentioned that before? NO MORE MATH!
Oh well, miles to go before I sleep! For future reference, however... Don't even BLINK hard at a Dell, boys and girls. Computer deaths are a sad, sad thing. Even the provoked deaths.

School started back today. Yeah! Got in my 8:00 server class. I know Carter will stick around till I'm gone. Just know it. So this way, I won't have to go an extra year but on the off chance she does leave, I can still take Cisco and use the Windows classes as related classes AND maybe get certified in both. Who knows yet.
I have Mr. Estes for 3 classes which is alright, he's pretty cool. Mrs. Cox, my Comp. & rhetoric teacher, seems to be really nice so far, too.
Got to Mom's, to pick the kids up, did my homework, came home, washed dishes, cooked a lasagna, ate, washed some clothes and now I'm bloggin and relaxin. impy needs sleep!
Back to the days of homework time again. Won't get much done here at home but I think I'll actually learn something this quarter. Don't like paying for nothing. 'Git 'r done!'
Glad to be back!

Side Note: I wanna go see Anchorman. 'That Will Farrel is a riot.'

Learning is a treasure that will follow its owner everywhere.

Had a good Holiday. Saw the pretty fireworks. Did the whole BBQ thing. Got to be with family. Food never lives up to what you remember from childhood, nor the fireworks (they were always so much bigger and prettier then... or maybe it was my viewpoint as a child??) But it's always good to see family (you only invite the ones you like, ya know).
Well, as usual, it's end of break and I'm up late cause I got used to staying up late again. Night owl by nature to begin with. I am glad to be going back to school. Get a break. Sad but true. I always thought you go home to rest and relax. I have to leave to rest. Who changed the rule?

Well, I checked something somewhere late last night that said titles, so we're gonna see how that might look. Looks huge on the preview but maybe won't be THAT big on the true post. And Now maybe I'm done? Who knows!
Went to watch Spiderman 2 tonight at the drive-in. Gotta love that drive-in. 8 bucks for 2 movies per car. That's right, breaks down to 1 dollar for each of my little family for 2 movies. Spiderman was a really good movie. The second show was White Chicks. Good one as well. Was pretty funny.
Just a few more days before school starts back. Getting anxious to get back so that maybe I can stay sane! Made a note to myself tonight at the theater. Note: Don't take the kids next time if you want to see the whole movie.
Sleepy, sleepy, sleepy. *yawn* *nod*

Well, after obsessing over the blog for a few days now I think I'm gonna say 'nuffs enough. I had forgotten how much fun (and frustrating) designing a web page could be. But overall it was fun. Getting all geared up for the return to good ol' Northwestern Tech. Hope my car lasts the next year. At least until it's all paid for. Started burning oil, but now all of a sudden it's stopped doing it so much. Who knows. It needs an O2 sensor. Whatever that's for. I dunno, all I know is that's what the computer it was hooked to said was the reason for the service engine light. It's been such a good little car I'm sure I can get at least 3 more years out of her (hope she's listening).
For no reason at all: Go Dubya! 'Bout time we had a president who didn't kiss the asses of whoever he happens to be speaking to. And also, there are a few of us who paid attention in economics class. There are a few of us who know the economy is controlled by the masses, laws of supply/demand, etc. There are also quite a few of us who recall the economy was going down at the end of clinton's 8 year testosterone driven power trip. Also, policies take time people. Most of what Clinton was credited for were policies put in place during Reagan/Bush years and were just coming to fruit while Clinton was in office. Ask yourselves who bears the fruit of Clinton's policies? He had 8 years to screw things up. Course, he was a pro at screwin'. And after bitchin' about Clinton I found a good quote that fits him well.

Politics is not a bad profession. If you succeed there are many rewards, if you disgrace yourself you can always write a book.
